Sunday Team

At the beginning of the 2022/23 season, we had no idea of what we were going to do with our existing Saturday team. A bunch of our lads had left to join other u18s teams within Corby and left us with 8 going into the Weetabix u18s division. We decided it might be better to join the Nene Sunday league and we managed to scrape together a bunch of mates to try and build a team, even if it meant us losing every week, we just wanted to play football. 

Our first couple of games in the Nene league were tough and we struggled to score even a single goal in some of them. New players arrived though and we began to pick up more points, and with that the team began to climb the table. From not having a team to even get into an u18s division at the start of June to now nearly pushing into the top half of the table with such a young squad, has been a remarkable first season.

The team contines to grow and improve with new players arriving all the time. We even managed to reach the Plate final in our first season!
